The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan launches a pilot project on the release of commemorative coins made of gold and silver to expand investment and savings options for population, as well as to further develop the precious metals market in Uzbekistan in accordance with best international practice and experience.
Minted in 1994-2009 with 999.9 fineness and 31.1 gr1 in weight each, 2 types of gold and 14 types of silver commemorative coins are offered for sale.
In total, 1900 gold and 6900 silver commemorative coins are on sale. More detailed information is provided in the table below.
Each commemorative coin featuring a “PROOF” finish has a certificate of authenticity that confirms its specifications.
The Central Bank sets the price of commemorative coins in national currency at least once a week.
Starting from November 28, 2018, commemorative coins are available to purchase with cash and bank transfer in certain branches of commercial banks (the list of banks with their addresses is attached).
